Universities and colleges are picking up on the green trend, and Kiwi Magazine has selected the top 75 ground-breaking schools, from small to large universities, and community colleges to Ivy League, where sustainability has become the center of campus attention.
The Kiwi Magazine editorial team, including editor Sara Gragnolati, selected schools such as: Aquinas College, which offers a major in sustainable business, Evergreen State, which has a thousand-acre campus running on green power, and one of the largest campus in the nation, Arizona State University, which has opened up the world's first School of Sustainability. Additionally, more than 560 schools have signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, or the ACUPCC, a pledge to go carbon-neutral through strategies such as switching to renewable energy and purchasing carbon offsets.
